Default Cardo Scala 9GX and Infotainment system

I can't get my 2016 RGS HD infotainment system to pair with my Cardo Scala 9GX.
I've entered the correct Pin when asked and it keeps coming up that pairing failed.
I've followed all the steps from both user manuals.
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks for any information...

Hate to break it to you... but your Scala (or any other bluethooth headset) won't pair with the Infotainment system, without some additional expense and gear from a German manufacturer who makes an adapter that converts the wired radio interface to a bluetooth signal. I don't have the details, but some guys have gotten this to work for them.

This is one of the major complaints about the radio, but in reality, this is not supported for many, if not all MC competitors or automobile radios... that is, connecting the radio to a bluetooth headset via bluetooth. You can connect your phone via bluetooth, but not your headset. This is due to the radios not having the protocol necessary to make this happen. Unless you go with the adapter method, the only other option is to use the HD wired solution.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

So, to make sure I understand w/o spending any more time on this, I can't listen to my iPhone or any music through a headset unless it is the HD wired solution or the iPhone ear plugs?

You can pair your iPhone to your headset. You cannot pair your headset to the HD radio.

You have two options without spending any additional $ or effort.

1. Connect your phone via bluetooth or USB to to the HD radio, and listen to music through the bike speakers. This is what I do most of the time, but with a USB stick with my music on it.

2. Connect your phone to your Scala headset via bluetooth, and listen to music through your headset - this allows you to listen to music privately, and receive phone calls if you wish. This is what I used to do when I rode the Road King.

I just watched a couple of YouTube videos explaining everything you guys were telling me.
Thanks for the info, I guess I'll go w/ the USB stick for the HD music, and the iPhone music for the headset. Both have the same music...

This is one of the biggest disappointments with the Boom box.

Well it's definitely my biggest! I paid a lot of money for this Cardo system a year ago.
I'm fixing to take off to the Wall for Memorial Day weekend and do the BRP on the way back. Not that I need the GPS, I can pretty much find my way around. It would have been nice to have all the music functionality that Blue Tooth technology provides!
Again the boys did not think this all the way through...
But, I still love the RGS!
Thanks again guys...
