I am looking for confirmation that with HD equipment a 2016 RGS is capable of doing rider to passenger communications. And if it is capable, a parts list.
I am not interested in aftermarket bluetooth solutions at this time.
I could swear I saw a complete kit available from Harley for around 500 bucks that had headset jacks and complete wiring harness. I remember seeing this because I was looking for a way of using passenger coms on my Ultra with the TourPak removed.
What is needed to add rider / passenger communications to a 2016 RGS?
Dealer says $1400 in parts which includes the CB module.
Working a deal on a RGS and plan to pick it up tomorrow morning.
Don't think you need the cb module, but you do need a ton of other stuff:
Rider microphone/headset jack/wiring
Passenger control module (volume/tune & PTT switch)
Passenger microphone/headset jack/wiring
Rider headset
Passenger headset
Rider right handlebar control module with PTT switch
Note - Items 2 & 3 normally mount on the speaker pods on the Tour Pack, so you'll need to mod something up or add the Tour Pack as well. $1400 may be a low estimate?
