Default Error codes b1153 and c1021

Started my bike today to find out the security light wouldn't go off. Took it to the Harley dealer straight away, nice they are open on Sunday, the service guy at first said its because of the Custom Dynamics lights I installed caused it to throw a code. So he checks the code, something I didn't know how to do but I know now, and comes back with b1153 and c1021. He checks and says it's a problem with the right switch module on my handle bars for the b1153 and that the c1021 is a failure for the wheel speed sensor for the front wheel ABS.

I checked and the front wheel sensor code c1021 is right according to what I found on the internet but in checking two different references I find the b1153 code refers to a "bank angle sensor" which I assume is the tip-over engine kill, not the right hand switch module on the bars.

Do these codes change by definition from bike to bike or are they standard across the Harley line? Does it mean there absolutely is a failure on that particular part or can it be just a temporary sensor glitch?

The year does make a difference, in the 2008 Elect. Diagnostic Manual it has B1153 as Bank Angle. No B1153 in the 2010 Manual.

2015 manual B1153 is the RHCM. The new bikes have a Accelerometer in the BCM which took the place of the Bank Angle in the TSSM.

Thanks for checking that and responding. Not sure what's wrong with the right hand controls. They seem to work just fine. I guess we will find out next Friday at the dealer. Thanks again.

Clear them and see if they come back.

Most of the time I'd agree but ....... it's not a simple switch pack any more, and there have been more than a few posts with problems where they've been replaced.
If the dealers good with replacing the Module have them do it. The Manual lists possible causes as a open in either the Module power or ground circuit and the trouble shooting is - clear it and if it returns replace it, if it doesn't " condition not currently present".
