I've had my '16 RK for a couple of months now, got about 2k miles on it. Been on the freeway at 80mph+ for miles, passed big rigs on 2 lane roads hitting over 90 for a short stretch, been all through the mountains here solo and 2 up, not even a hint of a wobble. This thing feels very well planted and capable of more than I am willing to try at this point. Save your money, ride the heck out of it. If it has a problem then you can deal with it. I don't think you will.

With the newer frames the suspesion is where your main issues are.

Logged nearly 900 miles this weekend running through the wilds of central PA. The short version is that this should have been the first thing I did to the bike.

The wobble's gone. The True-Track does for the back end what the new triple tree and larger fork tubes do for the front end. I laid the bike over in some massive sweepers with expansion joints and frost heaves at well over the posted limit and the bike went through with no issues...Just the pogo-ing of the lousy stock shocks.

This is a great upgrade for anyone who pushes their bike hard.

You're both wrong. Harley didn't address the source of the wobble with the new frames. They're better, but without a rear stabilizer they still wobble.

Rule #3. Don't fix it unless it is broken.. My 2013 had some loose feeling front end, and once a slight slow speed wobble in a turn at freeway speeds. I installed Progressive Mono struts, and have never looked back. The thing rides like it is one rails now. Just saying.

Well, I think you're wrong, so at least we agree on that point.

Stock Harley suspension is so poor that it induces it's own special brand of pucker-inducing handling.

All the best,

Shane

No question, but that's not the wobble created by the swingarm moving laterally. No shock absorber can change that. Nothing on either the 2009 or Rushmore updates changed anything on the frame or added anything to stop the wobble. That's an often-repeated misconception.

So you're welcome to think I'm wrong, but you can't point to what Harley "fixed" in the newer frames that stops the wobble and makes it about the suspension, nor can you explain why my 2010 and 2012 both wobbled with either Ohlins or JRI suspension.
