When you say "cycle the iginition on and off..." Do you mean to start it or just turn switch on and then off after it has gone through its functions?

Don't start the bike, just flip the kill switch to the run position and leave it there, then turn the big one (acc, run, off) switch to run, let it go through everything, then to off, and repeat this 5x, leaving the kill switch to the on position.
