It has been two years and it is time to change my coolant. I am thinking about changing to Evens Waterless Coolant has anyone tried this stuff in there bike.
I used to run it for about 8 years in my trackday bikes. GSXR-750, ZX-9 and ZX-10. It was track compliant (for most tracks) and offered freeze protection since I stored them in a conex box in the winter.
I have seen "online" reports of testing that it does run a small amount hotter, something to do with their 100% mix doesn't transfer heat as well which in turn makes your oil a bit hotter??? who knows if it's accurate. I know it has a super high boil point and good freeze qualities as well
What I do know is I absolutely ran the **** out of those bikes, 10-12 track-days a year near redline running all the time. Never had a problem with it, that was southern tracks, NC, SC, Georgia and Florida.
One thing to take in mind, first time you change it, it is a 100% mix, it's best to drain the old anti out, fill but a bit low, run the bike until it's hot enough for you thermostat and fans to kick on, then drain it off and throw it out. Need to get as much of the old stuff out as possible so you need to buy extra.
I liked it........BUT if I would not put it in a road bike myself, especially one that may take long trips, regular antifreeze works fine, easy to find if you need to top off or have work done on the road, should your bike get hot and boil or burb over a bit your faced with draining it and add full anti on the road. Evens is not always easy to find in local stores.
It's good stuff I think but it more of a dedicated track/ competition type stuff

Reason: spelling
Life ??, would it keep it cooling, antifreeze, lubricant properties maybe. Would I run it more than 4-5 years without flushing the system and putting new in. NO
BUT my ZX-9 I ran for 4 years until I sold it, all trackdays almost 26,000 miles worth. I put it in new and was still in when I sold it with no problems.
We run Evans in our off-road and race bikes mostly because it won't boil out. Most off-road race teams use it. Don't think it would hurt anything on the HD. Lots of long haul truckers use it as well.
I thought a good grade of coolant would last for many years without having to change. Does HD really recommend changing the coolant every 2 years? Seems extreme to me.
