Like most of you, I burned a hole in my THIRD RAINSUIT recently. I am using frog togs.
Anyway, I have heard of a glue on heat shield from frog tog. I was wondering if anyone has used this product before. its called Smokin Toad Heatshield Patch Kit.
Its an adhesive heat patch that you can put on your legs. Anyone ever use this product before?
Bought a kit through amazon, it seems to hold pretty well on the pants I used them on. Make sure you use it to apply outside, like way far away outside. The chemical odor is pretty overwhelming from the glue. Ride Safe!!!!
I mentioned the existence of these add-on heat shields for Frogg Toggs in relation to another thread. Someone else replied they were a POS - "too small" was the complaint, I believe. I have not used them so I have no opinion. Seems to me, if they are too small, just add 2 patches, but not sure that would help.
I had the heat shield on my Toggs. Started to separate after a couple of years but never burned through it. Rain suit always got me wet so I trashed it and got new stuff anyhow.

I was wondering that. I ordered a 3 pack of them for 20 bucks from amazon.
I too have burned a hole in my road toads, I thought about taking a pair of old blue Jeans and cutting a leg off and fit it to the right leg of the road toads, should be heat resistant I would think
Here is a suggestion and what I did to my Frog Togs. The material used for Ironing Boards works great. The covers are not very expensive and you will have enough to make heat shields for several pant legs. I used the silver-gray material and it definitely works.
