I guess I don't worry as much as some, a brand new motor yep I'm sure some issues will pop up but MOCO will figure it out and fix it. I read all the posts and still bought the new one today, its that much better when I rode it.
Just read in Motorcyclist Mag, a rather large article on the M8. Says that the breather problem regarding spewing oil into the airfilter/intake has now been solved. They route it to the trans case! Hmmm.....very interesting!

Because assembly lines are not set up for studying QA/Design issues, the Manufacturers often have a secondary location to review them. The problem can be inspected by a R&D team, documented & hopefully rectified by Engineering. They try to make sure the public isn't aware of the site nor the issues involved so it's kept quiet.
Yeah. and while they're lookin', thinkin', scratchin' their asses etc. that ol' assembly line just keeps crankin' out bikes, known defects and all, to be shipped out to unsuspecting dealers and sold to the public.

Agreed. I'm pullin' for this fix. Hopeful it's an over-torque problem, and not a systemic weakness in the case.
It will get fixed one way or the other. Hate it for the early adopters, but glad I'm on the sidelines for the next couple years as far as purchasing.
