Appreciate the feedback from everyone...for those tech challenged with the thumb drive like me and don't know what root directory means...
Root directory = the main thumb drive file. No folders, nothing else.
It's a good thing I saw this thread - I had the software v. 1.18 etc on my bike. Never knew this was something I could do.
Once again, learned a lot!
Good job! Just FYI, you can have folders and files in your root directory and still be able to to perform the update. What is key is that the ISO for the update be in the root directory, not zipped and not in a folder. So when you plug your USB drive into your PC and open it, you see it without having to go into a folder to see it.
Also, if you have music and other stuff on the USB drive, be sure to either delete the ISO or move it to a folder, else every time you insert the USB drive into the bike it will try to update the software again.

I think he was kidding. A Heritage doesn't have the infotainment system.

Careful here. If you don't correctly do this upgrade, you risk having your bike go out of EPA specs. If that happens, the upgrade will instead zap your ECM and hold your bike hostage by not allowing it to start or run, and via your laptop will report your nefarious activity to the EPA, HD Corporate, and the Department of Homeland Security, (just for laughs). They will then send you a bill for $,9650.00, and will only send you the unlock code for your ECM after the check for $9650 clears.
Thanks, but is'nt that thee 4.3 nav version? I need the CVO version, and it's still not showing any updates on the EU site I have bookmarked and have used since 2014????
