I got mine done. Had a little problem with it not recognizing my usb file. Originally formatted USB on a Mac. Reformatted USB
on a PC and it recognized it right away.
Your Mac will format the drive just fine.
You just have to choose the Windows FAT version and not the native Mac format.
Also, every USB drive out there is already formatted when you buy it.
There is really no need to format one.
They come already formatted in FAT 32. Both Mac's and Windows machine can read/write to that format.
Did the update yesterday. Was hesitant to do so, but with so many good words on this one (compared to the past ones I was still at 1.18.3) I decided to go for it. Update was quick and flawless. I then put my USB thumb drive in to play my music and started up right away. After first song it went into searching mode. So left it for the night, unplugged the USB thumb drive and tried again for my morning commute. It plays perfectly and does not have any issues... yet... good to go!
So far so good for me on the update - and you can add me to the "some of the people you can't please all the time" list ... tad disappointed in the auto zoom feature - on mine it has zoomed in (far - I just see the streets), zoom in more (med - streets and roadkill) really zoomed in (see the rocks in the road) and off (normal to me).
Did the update what a PITA just kept stating corrupt 4 dow3nload attempts. So I finally used safari instead of chrome and no problem still baffled by that but its done.
