I saw a post about some who've done this. one guy had his far enough he moved the mirrors down to the bottom of the housings and they didn't hit the tank or fairing. Mine are forward to the stop completely. Did that guy take the stop out to go farther or what?
Most of the folks that rolled them forward remove the pin in the risers. They will only go so far until the bars hit the fairing when turning lock to lock. A set of vice grips and a twisting and pulling motion is all it takes to remove it.
I rolled mine forward beyond the stop, and I didn't like the wrist angle. Ended up going with apes.
Play around with it until you find a happy medium, that's what I did until I saved up enough for new bars.
Cool, thanks, all I did today was loosen and roll to the stop. (they were back some) But thought that picture I remembered was farther. (Kinda like the looks of the mirrors below the bar,,, cleans up the bike some.

What bars did you go with? I hate the wrist angle of the stock bars.
I rolled mine way forward, but brought them back some when I put the KW 14" shield on. I rolled mine due to wrist angle. I'll be getting some LA Choppers 13" twin peaks here shortly.
I removed the pin and rolled mine forward to make them about 2" higher a the grip ends. The grip angle sucks. Ran like that for a week then replaced the pin and rolled them to the stop. Did I mention the grip angle sucks? I'm looking at Road6 or Factory 47 bars.
I pulled the handlebar clamp pin, but had to grind off the two pins (each side) for the hand controls. Was easy-ish but scary as that grinder is going like Mach 4000 and I didn't want to jack anything up.
For me the bars are fine - for now. Will prob go with some Wild1s eventually.
