Default Jiffy Stand
I was reading another thread about his 20k service. First thing he mentions is the jiffy stand tension bolt being loose. I checked mine at 3000 miles and sure enough mine was loose also. So I am posting this so others might check theirs as well. It would be a bad situation if it were to fall off, for you and the unlucky person it lands on. I know this because I was riding behind another bike, fortunately I was off to one side when the highway peg came off. It took one bounce and was in the air about the same height as my headlight. Bounced right by me. Would have been worse if I was right behind him.

I try and make it a habit to check mine every time I change the oil...............Its already up on the lift so its a prime opportunity to always check that.

I put some blue loctite on the bolt and torqued it to spec.
