Default Kickstand Moving

When I put my kickstand down there is movement from front to back like the stop has worn down. Can this be fixed with a new stop or do I need to replace the whole Jiffy stand?

The stop can be replaced by itself by removing the one bolt on the top end of the stand itself., but they do have some front to back movement in them too.

I have the same problem, the bike would shift back and forth depending on the grade it was parked on and when I first noticed it I thought the bike was going to fall over. I took the stand apart and notice some slop in the square cut out that goes around the main part of the stand. It was just play and not anything to worry about but it was initially a fright.

It's normal, there is a lot of slop in the "jiffy stand". It locks when down.

Not a problem. If you park with the front end heading up an incline instead of down, you'd never notice it. ...and it's a lot easier to back up when it's time to go.

All my Harleys have done it! Sure scares the crap out of you when you don't see it for a while and suddenly it does it. Wife hates it, starts yelling "the bike is falling....

YIKES!!! was my first thought. When I waslooking for my '07 it seamed like every bike I set on the standwas
balancing precariously on a 20" bicycle stand. Iguess I'll have to get used to it...that or switch it out with something that
"rigidly" plants itself on the ground. Thatreally surprised me!
