I'm using a 64G memory stick set up for .mp3's. I don't usually listen to the songs set on Random, I will listen to an "album" from start to finish. The issue is that after shutting down the bike and restarting, rather than the next song on the album playing, it goes to the next song alphabetically from the previous. For example, while Black Dog off of Led Zeppelin IV is playing, the bike is shut off and after the bike is started again, Black Dog will finish and rather than going to Rock and Roll, the next track on the album, Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden would play and so on, playing all music on the drive in Alphabetical order. If anyone has any ideas or has had this happen and knows a fix please let me know. If not, no big deal, just a minor annoyance.
If you want it to stay on your album of choice, you need to use the FIND command & select the desired album. Using this method, it should only see the songs on the selected album until you do a FIND for all artists, all albums & all songs. After selecting all, all, all, the songs will begin playing in alphabetical order again until you change to RANDOM or select new music with another FIND command.
BTW - You can use the USB pre-selects to save up to 20 selections of any combination of Artists or Albums, then change from one selection to the next with a forward push of the left joystick.
Thanks for the reply Hammz. I go to find and search by artist, then choose the album then the first song of that album. It will work like it's supposed to (playing each song from that album) unless the bike is shut off and then restarted. Then it will start playing songs in alphabetical order (from all songs on the drive). It seems to be some sort of glitch. I will also look into the USB presets.
I also listen to albums all the way through. I noticed the problem you're talking about when I did the latest update. Now when I restart the bike it usually remembers which source I was listening to, but it forgets that I selected the album.
Like I say, for me it showed up on the latest update so I'm hoping it goes away again in a future update. Pain in the butt 'till then...
