Default It's done and happy to have installed myself

The Mrs always gets me the best presents lol, got 12" LA choppers twin peaks and some Harley Polyurethane bushings. Couldn't wait any longer to put em on! Winter itch is getting to me...
Wiring the bars was an incredible pain in the *** on the throttle side, but sure glad I did it myself in the end. No extensions required as some others have said before.
The urge to go ride it now is beyond anything lol, I'll have to suffice with sitting on it and making vroom noises in the garage for now.
Before and afters:

Looks great!

Don't you just love the satisfaction of a job well done? Especially one where the dealer would charge you a grand?

Absolutely! So happy with the way they came out and knowing exactly how things were installed. Gives a guy a much better understanding of what's what on these bikes as well- not to mention being able to help someone else out tackling these projects!

Looks great. I helped a friend install his 10" Yaffe monkey bars yesterday on his 2015 SGS. Wiring them is a pain but otherwise very simple and it is rewarding when doing the job yourself.

I remember doing my bars - I got everything just about off and I had a WTF moment - I left it for the day, watched a Youtube video & went back at it the next day. At the end of the day if you take your time it's not very hard - maybe a 3 out of a 1-5 scale, most of it is all in your mind.

They feel pretty damn good from a sit on the bike in the garage kinda feel. I've got them about as far forward as they will go leaving about 3/4" between the fairing and resoivoirs. Nice relaxed feel to them, won't be so damn hunched over anymore. At full lock you gotta lean into the bars a bit but I'm used to it from my last bike. I'm about 6'1 and hands are a bit below shoulder height.

Good job tjwb! I have some bars on the way and am apprehensive about the install. Yours look awesome! I hope mine work out as good as yours!

Looks good. I had Yaffe MBB on my old bike, and did a set of twin peaks on my buddies bike. I was going to do MBB on my new bike, but am considering the TP's.

Are your bars stamped for the brake & clutch MC? My MBB were on the right, but not the left, and the TP's weren't at all IIRC, leaving a 1/8" gap where the switch housing meets the bars.

Any chance you can post some more pics OP?
