I learned the same thing, that the dealer has to do the final programming of the system. I planned on installing it all myself thinking it was plug and play. My local dealer said I could and save a bunch installing it all myself and that they would only charge me 60 bucks to do the programming.
Just wondering what they charged for installing the system that you brought to them?
The standard models didn't come with security, it's an option that you can add though.
The "Special" model comes with it already installed, along with ABS, larger infotainment screen with GPS and touchscreen, color matched fairing skirt, gloss painted inner fairing, pinstripes (all excluded on the standard model).
Depends the desler can get them from factory with security, ABS already installed on the standard. When i was in tbe market dealer here all tbe bikes had tbe ABS, security.
