Security System
Anybody install a factory Security System themselves? I have a 2007 SuperGlide Custom, and Harley tells me they need to install it, because it needs codes entered. Just wondering if that is a snow job to get extra $75 for labor.

I installed mine by myself. It is fairly easy and straight forward, but after it is installed you will need to follow the instructions to marry the TSSM with the ECM and then you will need to take your Harley and the key fob(s) to the dealer to have the Fob assigned to the bike. The dealer will charge you 15-25 to assign the fob's. I got lucky and they did mine for free.
I installed the new smart system for the 2007's.I do not know if the older alarm system will still work with the 2007's so check with the dealer on that. If they do work and you go that route there are instructions to install that system and how to assign the key fob on this site without going to the dealer.
