I have a set of those ugly fangs and have to say that with a 7" windshield
I have very little buffeting 75 mph 3/4 face helmet and very little air.
I went with chrome and have about 4,000 miles with them now.
They kind of grow on you as a chrome add on .
If you can get a chance to demo them just try it .
I have had a set on my last two bikes and this bike I leave them on all year even here in AZ they work good and don't look bad. But I didn't go with HD I got mine from JC Customs.
I thought they made a world of difference on mynRoad King and really didn't mind the look of them either.
I just picked up a new '17 Street Glide Special and was wondering if they would fit that bike? (the Big Book lists '06 and later FLHXS)

I bought the HD fangs for my 2014 Road King. When I traded that in for my 2017 Street Glide Special, I put them on. They fit perfectly, they look good (to me), and most importantly, they work.

Hey that's Great! They made a huge difference and I was hoping I'd be able to put em back on the new bike. I guess they fit underneath the side indicator covers?

When I bought this bike in 2014 the only extra thing I had the dealer install was the fork wind deflectors. They've been on ever since.
