New forum user here, not new rider. I just bought a new 2016 FLHTK. The height of the saddle is too low for me. I don't have enough legroom and have to lift my leg every time to shift, which is a huge pain after a while. My handlebar reach is fine, and I don't want to get different handlebars. Is there a seat out there, two-up, that is higher than the stock HD seat? I need to raise my butt a couple inches, but not move my overall position back away from the handlebars. Any help?
I've been going through my local dealer, of course, but they haven't been much help - trying the extended reach footboard and longer shift lever next. Anybody ever use one of those gel pad things?

That's too bad about your dealer because the Tallboy seat is specifically made for taller riders. Maybe you should find another dealer?
I tried the Tallboy seat already - the adjustable backrest I have can't be used with it and the fixed backrest didn't allow my behind to settle into the back of the seat, rendering it useless. Really stupid engineering on HD part. The Tallboy without the backrest was great for my legs and feet, but my handlebar reach became too great. So, back it went. I don't understand why those idiots would require a non-adjustable backrest that defeats the purpose of the seat.
It's getting close to summer and the circulator seat pad would come in handy. It will lift you up an inch. I use it with the HD hammock seat and I love mine.

Police seat, you can also add a Utopia Backrest kit to it. If you are buying one, (used) make sure its the newer model with the shock over coil set up. But you will need to buy a passenger pilon seat as well.
I have a custom made Hartco for sale, but if you're not tall....forget it.
