Default handlebar question

I plan to order KhromeWerks Narrow +2 Sweeper Handlebar Pn. 300518 for my 2016 FLHXS. Will I need to extend any of the wiring? I am thinking not but wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience installing these bars.

I had the local dealer install the 2+2 narrow sweepers on my 2015 Ultra Limited. They put switch wire extension on and replaced the throttle by wire with a new part that doesn't have a big plug in the middle of it, which apparently wouldn't fit through the hole in the right hand side hole in the bars. My clutch and brake cables are stock though.

I emailed Khromewerks and they are telling me no wiring changes or hose changes are necessary. I do plan to wire them internally.

I had mine done externally. I'd expect you need additional wire length for internal. Anyway if you need the switch wire extensions I think they're $70 ($35 each and you need two, if I remember correctly).

I don't think you should need anything but the bars.
The wiring extensions are plug and play. They are cheap to surprisingly. Part number 69200034 30.25 from the dealer.

I put the same bars on my 14 FLHTK. I did not have to use any wire extensions. Go to U tube and look up Kromewerks 2+2 Sweepers. It will show you step by step how to do it.

The 2016 FLHXS has the smaller plug setup on the Throttle-by-wire cable. HD changed it in 2016

They also told me the +2 sweepers were a direct olt on for my 16 RGS. Nope. Then they wanted me to pay for the return shipping. I still have the bars.

On my 08 Street Glide I had to extend my clutch cable. I don't know about the Special. I'll bet like on mine. Cut a few zip ties and you're good.

Just don't trust what they say.

RFG, why wouldn't the bars fit your RGS?

The KW bars are 1" and my bike comes with 1.25' so the clamp is different. Really it's shame on me for not checking first. I assumed mine dropped to 1" which has been a factory standard forever. I did order a 1" clamp. Went to put them on and the clamp wasn't tapped correctly so much riser bolts wouldn't thread in. I finally said screw it and bought the bars I have now. Kinda glad. Love the F47s

Cheapest return shipping was 68 bucks. The bars were 95.

I loved my sweepers on my SG. Great bars.

I'm also very happy with the Factory 47 bars. Just wish they cost the same as the sweepers. Lol.
