I went with the MotoLights. They are pretty bright and I like them. I kinda wish I went with Clearwater because I think they may be EVEN BRIGHTER!

Clearwater lights are the brightest on the market.....just expensive. If you notice looking at the specs for other brands they don't even mention the output in lumens. The Clearwaters are the real deal.

No longer true. In fact my Baja Squadron Pro's are cheaper then Darlas and twice as bright. They are in fact brighter than Krista's as well.

The other nice thing about the Baja's is the combo light output, both for close and distance lighting. You have to mix up the Clearwaters to get the same effect at quite the cost.

Most reputable companies are now publishing the Lumen capabilities of their lights. Clearwater was the best in the beginning and still one of the very best, but they are not the only good product and having used Clearwater, Baja Designs, and Denalis the best bang for the buck has been the Baja Designs as far as I am concerned. Getting ready to purchase another set to replace some Denalis I am currently running on my Buell.

I had started to purchase the Darla's but after a lot of research to a shot at the Baja Designs and I am more then pleased with the output and quality.

I have not looked into these (or the other brands that people have mentioned) and there have been talk about these other brands being comparable or brighter, but are they adjustable like the Clearwater lights?
dial the brightness up/down like clearwater can?

There are plenty of devices that you can add to the other lights to do that...

I personally use the Skene IQ-275 Alert

It isn't a dial, but it allows you to set up either 2 light levels a low and Full beam or using a multiple throw switch you can set 4 light levels. You set the levels at 10% increments.

I see no need for a dial myself, I have my low level set for 30% and then 100% under High Beam. The cool feature of the IQ-275 alert is if you flash your high beam twice it does this crazy hi beam flash pattern to alert an idiot getting ready to pull out in-front of you etc.... I have the module wired to the second switch in the dash next to the driving lights to allow me to turn the lights on/off. In many states having two sets of driving lights is illegal as are the Baja designs I am using. The Hi-lumen lights are not legal for road use and this way I can avoid issues with police if needed. I will turn-off my HD Driving lights and turn-on the Baja designs and avoid the scrutiny.

The dial is neat, but I set my levels once and I prefer my lights to be linked to my headlight switch for brightness. Below are some options if you want to consider others.

But you cannot go wrong with Clearwater. And if you have the cash, they do have some of the very brightest lights. They are large once you go above the Darla's. But they are also SINGLE focus, meaning either near or far.

The Baja's allowed me to pick the Driving/Combo pattern which is equipped with both Driving (42°) and spot (9°) optics

Clearwater does have some really nice mounting options if you wish to mount to the forks.

Bluetooth LED Controller

Rotary LED Dimmer

Skene IQ-275 Alert Led Controller

Got my Darla's installed this afternoon. Pretty easy job, just had to recheck the posi-taps with four wires a couple times. I just followed 2015UltraLimited's method. All I need was the accessory light switch. You do not need an additional wire harness if you have an Ultra. Just plug the switch in the panel, posi-tap the wire for it, and posi-tap to the high beam wire. Thanx to the OP and to 2015UltraLimited for the guidance.
