I bought my 17 Limited from War Horse HD. The wanted to sell the bike real bad. They inflated my trade in so much they can't sell it, it is still there rusting away. I did get a great deal. They keep the bikes in a canvas tent outside
Seems to me there is a buyers remorse law that gives you ex amount of days to return a product with no questions asked. I would "never" be happy with a bike with so many issues new. I would be speaking to a lawyer. Just me!!
Yeah, that was uncalled for. Considering the circumstances, I think the OP handled it the best way he could. I bet he isn't finished yet.
Save those comments for guys with man buns, wearing rompers, spinning a fidgit spinner in left hand and toking off his vape from the right while attending an anti-Trump ralley.
Take it back and ask them for another one. If they give you a hard time, just get a lawyer. If it's a "mom & pop" dealership it will cost them more to fight you than to cut a deal. Lesson learned, INSPECT before you buy and IF you can't (because as in your case you're going out of town) DON'T BUY IT till you return!
Update! So I stopped to pick up a part from Gainesville Harley Davidson and while I was there I was talking to the parts guys about what happened at War Horse HD. I showed them the pictures I took and they told me to take it to the service department and show David the service manager. David looked at the pictures then looked at the bike and said "call HD Customer Care and get a reference number, bring it to me and I'll make sure this bike looks brand new". So, I called HD and explained the issue and they gave me a reference number. I took it to David at Gainesville HD and two days later everything was replaced with new parts and the wheels were polished! I can't say enough about the service I've received from David, Jeremy, Cody, Chris, Gus, Paul and a couple of others I can't remember their names. Unfortunately for us here in Gainesville, David got smart and retired after 22 years. But there are some pretty good guys still there. I made sure to show my appreciation by loading up the bags with thirst quenchers and bringing the bike in for a service to reduce the added weight! There is hope and I still love this bike!
Funny side note, War Horse called me while I was talking to David and asked if they could send me a survey about my service. After I stopped laughing I said, yes. The girl told me that anything other than a 10 on the survey wouldn't count. So I asked her why have the survey then? Her reply was we keep the good ones...
