I installed a stock de catted head pipe with my existing Rush Big Louie's. The right side slip on keep rotating clockwise a little bit after a few miles. I've tried everything from really tightening it to loosening the entire exhaust system and realigning it from the heads back. Has anyone else experienced this, and how'd you fix it. Having one of the slash down points tilted to the right is really doing a number with my OCD. Thanks.
When installing the right side, does it slide on tight or easily? Since the only thing changed was header, that side may be somewhat compressed from original owner (guessing online purchase of decat, not your original pipe that was decat). Likely need to get a pipe expander and stretch open a couple thousands to make a tighter fit, clamp can only compress the slip on end so much.

If the pipe is "out-of-round" (e.g. oval) then you'll need to get it shaped back to round. Get it to a local exhaust shop and have them machine it back into proper shape. They probably won't charge much (easy job).
did you use a torque wrench to tighten clamps? I find that most people think they can do it by feel only to find out they are no where near torque specs..
It slips on really tight, but it did the same with the original header. So tight in fact, I had to let it sit for 3 hours to cool off enough to take it off. I couldn't budge it until it cooled off, even then I had to wiggle it back forth a lot to work it off the header. This is my first bagger and just figured it was the nature of the beast.
New clamp or as a last resort, use some pipe sealer with new clamp. If it can rotate/move it likely can leak. Can you grab the end and rotate once all tightened up? Mine wont budge and ive reused my clamps several times of off and on. Hopefully the fore bracket is tight near o2 sensors?

Years ago I had a similar problem. Muffler kept sliding a short distance backwards off the header. I discovered that I was placing the clamp too far back from the front of the muffler. Moved the clamp forward so it was flush with the muffler's opening and it could squish it down more easily. Those slots at the front of the muffler allow it to flex a bit more and make a tighter seal. Problem solved for me. Just something to consider. .
