So I have the standard air shocks that came on my 2014 Ultras Classic, are the Premium Touring Shocks much better / worth the money? or would it be better to just save some $$ up and get a set of progressive shocks looking for the best bang for the buck. Thanks for any info.

I upgraded my '14 Limited to the H-D premium suspension front & rear when new. Took a bit of experimenting to figure out the correct preload setting on the left shock, but once I quit trying to set it following the manual, I got it adjusted to suit me & haven't felt the need to upgrade to anything else.
Call Jon at Horny Toad HD and get the individual 13" shocks from 17 CVO ultra (not the premium kit). They are super reasonable , under 370 shipped for me...BUT, upgrade your front at the same time. I have the progressive, got off amazon for under 400.
IMO you have to do both front and rear, and it will change your bike dramatically. If I had to do again, Id do the Legends cartridges in front, but was working on a budget at the time...
Good Luck!!!

I think you will find a much better ride if you change the shocks. Please make sure you consider your weight (plus passenger and luggage) when buying the shocks. I am 280 and my wife is 105 - so before luggage, that is already 385. The standard Progressive will not handle that sort of weight. You'll need the super heavy duty.
I can't comment on the Legends or others - but will agree that the Progressive will do a great job for you.
You will find that 12" HD hand adjustable shock users hate them and 13" users love them.I bought them for My 2014 limited 2 years ago.Big improvement over air shocks. No more bottoming out.I now have a 2017 with stock hand adjustable shocks.Sold My 2014 shocks to a friend Who noticed the difference immediately riding two up.
