Default 110 Engine Question

I have a 2015 CVO Road Glide, been reading a lot of articles with the 100 engine having lifter problems. I know mine are loud when the engine is cold or extremely hot. Question is, what else do I need to look for??

replace the lifters with S&S premiums. $400 dollars vs $5k.

your call

From what I have read the valve springs are too heavy. That is what trashes the already questionable lifters.

I received a email from zippers.they stated after extensive research, that the cvo springs don't contribute to pre -mature failure.they also said tappet failure is a result of lubrication and internal leaks on twin cam motors.this is what in their opinion is causing pre-mature wear.ok guys, this is what zippers told me in a email and this is not my opinion.just passing it on.

zippers is entitled to their opinion. having had a lifter come apart in a 110, i can very clearly state

valve springs
se 255 cams and the sharp cam lobe drop offs
crappy lifters
heat.

are primary causes, but combined together make a lethal combination.

oil or lack of oil has nothing to do with it.

I was given a detailed explanation from zippers as to why they believe this happens.can you give me your detailed explanation so I can make some decision on why the 110's have probems.i've heard numerous opinions and I'm interested in finding the solution.
