Hey all, I just installed my new classic solo and was curious if any of you have the same issue as I do with a gap on the back. I had the same type of seat on a cvo street Glide don't remember seeing the hardware from the back. But it did have the stock fender protector strips that may have hidden it.
Any ideas? Does anyone know if there are the plastic bolt retainers ( not sure of the technical term)? I think if the white ones were black, it would take care of most of the problem.
Mine is like that and I'm pretty OCD about things, but it doesn't bother me. Fender bibs are fugly. But my bike is black so probably doesn't stick out as much.
It's made like that so the tab on the front of the passenger pillion slides in and the back uses a screw to secure it.
Exactly. It's not an "issue", it's designed that way. Put some miles on it and as the seat breaks in, the cover will loosen up a little from stretching and the gap doesn't stick out so much.
Thanks, I'll look at a hardware store and see if I can find the washers in black. I'm not worried too much about it. I took a 200 mile ride after work last night and dang it's nice. Already better than stock and not broken in yet.
