Default Adding inner fairing mirrors

Hi Guys,
I’ve seen a ton of posts about removing inner fairing mirrors and installing bar mirrors. I want the opposite, I have bar mirrrors and want to install inner fairing mirrors. Can I get a few pics of inner mirrors mounted and inner fairing pics? I am not sure where to drill the holes and what size of holes are needed? I have a 2015 ultra limited.

Thanks,

We did a buddy’s 15 Ultra Limited last year with HD ones. Seems like there was a molded mark on the inside of the fairing right where we needed to drill. Looked it up... see below. (if buying HD ones, look them up on HD website and you can read the installation instructions for them to verify they go together like these below)

I installed the chrome mirrors on my 14 and its a relatively easy install, the only down side is the studs on the mirrors are plastic and if there tightened too much they will break off, I just snugged mine up and they've never moved, I've installed these on 3 different Harley's over the years and I like how they move the mirrors out and give better visibility for me and the chrome hasn't chiped or tarnished..it's a good quality product

Once you remove the outer fairing, you will clearly see the embossed locate mark on the inner fairing as per the instructions posted above. I too changed over to fairing mount mirrors. I went with the stock street glide style at first then swapped those out for the edge cut billet. Excellent mirror, well made.

Did the same on my Limited. Picked up brand new pair of take-offs from craigslist - $20.

Just be sure and don't over tighten nut on plastic stem.

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in and take as you want to. I put them on my '99 Ultra and didn't like them. I love how they look but they cut my rear visibility down tremendously.

I was going to ask if they helped or not with that placement on the fairing versus on the handle bars. I like how it cleans up the look of the bars.

Ok I will add my $.02.

When i added apes to my 14 SGS i added the bar mirrors. The increase in rearward visibility is amazingly better with the bar mirrors. I understand the desire to "clean up" the looks but keep in mind "form vs function"
