I then called again and he said if he cannot fix it he would return my money paid to him via paypal. This two weeks now and have not heard from him via email or phone call. My new pump arrived from board tracker yesterday and I installed it in fifteen minutes. I am sure I am out the hundred dollars i paid and just dont want anyone to get in the same boat I am. I have been patient as well as understanding of someone elses time. I will not say bad things about a man I personally do not know I am just voicing my experience.
New update. John with Pirate has refunded my money via paypal. I have to send the pump back to him and that is not an issue. Thanks John.

I'm glad you got your money back. Could you clarify? You have to send him your pump as a condition of getting your money back or he asked if you could send it so he can see where it failed? Thanks.

I told him that I would return the pump as proof that I bought a new one instead. I do not want anybody thinking I am trying to take advantage of a situation.

I was also told by the Service Manager at New Smyrna that the current HD Part Number for water pumps will be obsolete in a few months, and a revision. My buddy and myself both had water pumps replaced while down at Bike Week in FL. Mine is a 2014 103 with 29k miles, and my buddy was a 2015 110 CVO with 9k miles.

I told them, no it needs a pump, but alas I picked it up, rode down the street to the stop light and the check engine light and temp light came on! So back to the dealer! ESP is good until 2020!

I would really like to find a replacement though. Any thought on retrofitting the M8 water pump?
Ok I got my bike back Saturday with its second water pump and a new thermostat. I don't think it needed a thermostat, but got one anyway. harley part number 26600012 pump and 26700001a thermostat. Second time is a charm.

The water pump went out on my 2015 RG CVO last August while in Milwaukee with about 6k miles. None of the dealers had any in stock. It was a hot ride back to KC.
It does put off a lot more heat when its not pumping water. lol

Mine hasn't played dead yet, but I've read accounts of what seems to be two failure modes - 1) Poor electronics quality 2) gummed up by the crap coolant the MoCo uses.

In order to try to stave the coolant issue off, I emptied mine at the weekend, flushed it with the appropriate stuff for filling with Waterless Coolant, and filled with that. Fingers crossed it will give mine a long life!

Thank you. Did you notice if your bike runs cooler or better?
