General question about harleys stage 3 110" kit. I have the oppurtunity to buy just the jugs and pistons used from the kit. Have about 5k miles on them. Im not sure about the push rods, tappets, cams and valve springs if their there. Is $225 a fair price for the jugs and pistons? Thanks for any guidance also any review of the specific kit or what you might do instead.
Buy the jugs and pistons for sure at that price.. Here is a 110 stage III with Cyclerama 570-2 cams
Friend of mine that builds engines says he doesn't trust the thin wall spigots on the jugs in the kit. How has yours been so far? Good numbers. Any issues?

That's what everyone was saying right away. The MoCO and S&S kits have help up very well. I wouldn't hesitate to run one.

Yea i was just looking at fuel moto. They offer same kind of kit. I know the kinda research they put in and they have the same thin wall spigot design. So Im good with it. Where these were ran for 5k miles anyone think i should have the cylinders honed, checked out by a engine shop or anything? Pistons i was honestly thinking about going aftermarket with.
As soon as I can find a newer set of se 110 heads im going to do a similar build. Stock bore with 10.5 pistons, se 110 heads 2.1 intake, port and polish job by my buddy, probably 259e cams easy 120tq and 112ish hp. Ive seen one other guy on another forum talk about this head job. His name is Dewey somethen. Buddy of mine has been building vtwins for years and hemis before that and hes a head work genious.
