If you decide to go with street look I have a seat off a 2013 street glide like new and a passenger quick change backrest for $200 . I used them on my FLTRU with quick detach . One tip it is not necessary to put quick disconnect on speaker wires they have a connector you can get to easily just inside housing of speakers. P.M. me if your interested .

Yes, but you need to use a Torx socket with a long bit. I can get to mine by just opening the saddlebag lids.

I don’t have TP lights or a TP antenna to deal with, so putting it on or off takes 5 min.

Had a QD on my old ride, but the mounting on the 14+ is so easy, I saw no need to spend the coin.

dynarider: how solid is the plate once it's all buttoned back up? It seems that the Softbrake part only hangs over the opening in the fender and relies on the taillight mounting screws/frame to lock it in place. Is that the case? Is there a bumper on the back that keeps the bottom of the plate (and the mounting bolts for the plate) off the bottom of the fender?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

tape to protect fender

sorry didn't take a pic with just the bracket hooked on

This pic shows the rubber stopper and how the whole plate sits up off the fender

yes it has a rubber bumper to prevent the bottom of the plate from rubbing on the fender. The tabs that hold the plate to the fender will need to be squeezed together for a snug fit. You will also have to bend them for the shape of your fender to get it to fit correctly. No big deal, only takes a few mins. I added duct tape to my fender as the top of the plate was rubbing against the paint and I didn't want it to do damage. Although a bit pricey I am very happy with the softbrake bracket

I'm not sure what you are referring to? No cup holders or grab handles, chrome lever to open bags is at the front of the bags near the seat. I don't have anything on top of bags, maybe just sun glare?
