The "Comm" selection on the home screen can be viewed to see IF CB is "checked" on I believe.
Unless needed I never check my CB.
The weather band is another PITA if turned on for local riding since it will cut out the radio even though the weather alert is far away from where I'm riding. Unless I'm taking a x-counrty ride I keep mine off. I recall last summer the weather radio kept alerting me to bad weather but that weather was one state away from where I was riding. Turned it off and all was good.

It's either the Weather Band on or your navigation is running a route. Both will mute the radio and if the volume is turned down on the prompts, you won't hear anything.
