CB Issues

my 2014 limited has always had side noise (like some ones keying in and out, sounds like someone going thru there gears). I've tried new headsets, cords and antennas. it seems to be getting worse. the only way to stop it is to turn the squelch almost all the way up for a few seconds then bring t back down until it acts up again.

Have you tried adjusting the intercom vox setting to essentially disable the intercom ? I'm wondering if the intercom is picking up sounds/kicking in.

Have you cleaned & applied dielectric grease to that POS Motorola connector in the CB coax? Pull that thing apart & check. If it's all white or greenish fuzz, it's toast & a source for rf noise. Designed by a EE that is dumb as a box of rocks.
