Default 2016 ultra - is the compensator sprocket issue still around

I have been getting a lot of drive train noise of late and kind of ignoring it. But in a couple of weeks I will be heading out to West Texas to catch a semi-pro baseball game in Alpine and started paying more attention. Service options are few and far between around the Big Bend with Odessa probably the closest option if things went south.
In any event, I realized the noise is more prevalent - nearly chain slapping type. Bike is over 30K miles and full fluid changes are done every 5K by me. Magnet on primary drain has shown some debris, but not much.
In any event, as the bike is under ESP, I scheduled it for assessment at my closest dealer (Javelina in Boerne).
The question is, is the old compensator sprocket issue still alive and well with this generation of bike?

I have had the compensator replaced twice on my 2014 SGS, once on Harley's dime and once on the extended warranty's (Boardtracker) dime. 95,000 miles and counting....

From what I can recall, Harley made the SE compensator the standard moving forward. So there isn't necessarily a better factory option for this part.
Guessing the new generation of Milwaukee Eights have the issue as well.

Here is what it says in the parts description for the Screamin' Eagle Big Twin Compensator.

Original Equipment on '14-'17 DynaŽ, SoftailŽ and '14-'16 Touring models. Requires separate purchase of Installation Adhesive Kit P/N 11100088.

The M8s are the same except for a the parts breakdown for their compensator assembly shows a single thrust washer in place of three washers before the sprocket retainer.

2016 street glide, I bought it used with 8,000 miles on it and the compensator had already been replaced.

2015 FLHTK

My water pump has been replaced twice! On the other hand, my comp sprocket is OEM with no signs of failing! 47k!

My wife’s 16 SGS is just fine at 30’000 miles but she’s pretty easy on equipment at 64 years old!

fwiw, I change out the primary oil every 5000 miles!

My 2016 Road Glide Ultras comp went out before it's 1000 mile service. It was replaced under warranty with a SE comp, which I thought they came stock with. But if it goes out again, Im replacing it with a Baker.
