I have a 2014 that I purchased in Sept, 2013. When I check my software, it says my map version is NA-2014. I traveled about 2000 miles last week and at times, it looks liked there were enough changes in the roads that a map update would be helpful.
Looking at the site, I recall seeing the latest version as NA-2018. So, for those of you that did the map update, did you find the $150 cost worthy?
I did the same update from 2014 to 2018 and to me, yes, it was worth it.
If you decide to do it, follow the directions carefully, there are several important steps, but it's not difficult.
I didn't have any problems.
With that much time passing I think it's worth it. Realize though that what Harley labels my2019 is actually 2017 vintage road data. Im told its this way because they must lock in software at the time the bike is being developed.
