I think most of us have some of those same issues - especially with the system trying to route you back home to start the route. When I use the address feature, I don't have that problem (only when using the rout feature)

Here is something else that I have found useful. Before starting a trip, I enter my destinations in my gmail account. So, you have the name address and phone number.

I then go to the garage and refresh my phone book.

Once refreshed, I can use either the voice commands or the handlebar controls to navigate to the phone, contacts and details. When you show the details, the address will come up. Just click OK and the system will route you to that address.

You can always delete those contacts later
Thanks for the tip, I will give that a try!

I have been playing around with a Verbatim Store-N-Go USB/Lightning Drive along with the Store-n-Go I OS app to get the routes from the HD Ride Planner to the Boom Box using Safari on my iPad. When you tap the download button you are prompted to open the file in Store-n-Go which will copy the gpx file to the thumb drive when it is connected. It seems to work well with the iPad but the iPhone just tells you to use the Harley Ride Planner app, which is not available for use for anyone outside of the USA. It would probably be easier if you can use the Ride Planner app.
I went through all of EZ Motos ride planner videos, they are all very helpful. I subscribed to his stuff so I have easy access if I need a refresher. He really knows all the weirdness with the ride planner, and does a good job showing you how to avoid the strange happenings with the routes.

Thanks for sharing that info!!!

I’m presently on a trip to Utah and Colorado. With EZ Motos tips I have a 1500 mile route setup with a start and stop location and the rest are waypoints. It works well with a few issues. Pause the route when you decide to go a little off beat, it will reroute back to the planned route when you resume. If it keeps redirecting you after you pass a waypoint or decide to take a different route for a short piece you can just skip then next waypoint and it will reroute to the one after.

One glitch I had I believe the GTS did a reset when I turned the bike off and it lost it’s location. When reloading the route it wants to start from the starting point. You can skip waypoints to get it back to where you are, or better yet select the next waypoint as the start, my route has 25-30 waypoints. It would be nice if you could name the waypoints. Next time it think I’ll print out a list of the waypoint locations on paper just in case. I’m sure it would be easier to modify the route when needed if you could use the iOS app.

Overall it is working fine, definitely needs improvements.

I use a program called Route Converter to edit/fine tune my routes. It allows custom names for waypoints. I sometimes create my route from scratch using Route Converter. When created in Route Converter, each waypoint is given a sequential number then assigns the remainder of the waypoint name, which can then be edited. When these routes are run on the 6.5GT system, those names may get appended by the GPS but will generally keep the names I provide when editing the GPX file. With the correct Map appearance options, the distance to the next waypoint descriptive name will appear at the bottom of the map. One caveat - the waypoint needs to be placed just before a turn, otherwise the turn itself will be a maneuver generated in the G
PS & won't be descriptive of the waypoint as named in the GPX file. Only issue is when skipping a waypoint the 6.5GT GPS asks for confirmation using the Lat/Lon data so that part can be a crap shoot.

Here's a small sample from a route edited in Route Converter. I've included the file's header/metadata that shows the original GPX file was generated using MS Streets & Trips & was edited with Route Converter. I added the emphasis jn this example to help identify the waypoint names.
