Default Unable to play iPhone through Infotainment System 6.5 Boom

OK, Let put out as much info as possible to avoid confusion, and unnecessary questions. I ride a 2014 Mount Rushmore SGS with the BOOM! Box 6.5GT Infotainment System. I flashed the update to version: 1.22.0.2 so like everyone else I can't save or import GPS waypoints, I have decided that I will live with that until the next update. This morning as I do most mornings, I put my iPhone XS in his cradle, hook up the USB cable, bring up my XM app, set the station, and start rolling. The system sees that the phone is hooked in ( I have the USB cable plugged in, and I have it bluetooth) no music is playing. I look at the app, it says its running, I look at the screen and I see "Larry's iPhone" is present, I can see my Contacts, Recents, the whole works, but no music.I check the volume, at this point I pull over, I unplugged the usb and replug it, I shut down the Infotainment System, and restart it, I shut down the bike and restarted it, made sure the app was running, that it was connected on the system, still no music. At this point I needed to get moving so I took off and went to work. Once there I rebooted the iPhone, and tried again, NOTHING. I did notice the when I go into Bluetooth and "My Iphone" the "Connect to Music" option is grayed out. Cannot get it on again. 5 days ago I reset the entire system over the GPS issue after the update, but I'm pretty sure that I had the phone working through the stereo.

Need an outside looking in point of view instead of my inside looking in, and getting annoyed point of view.

Thanks
Me

you need to go back to the previous update and I don't think you will see any more updates to the 6.5 because of the new GTS

check this web site they have a nice Sony plug and play Fatheadcycles.com

I’m on the phone with Harley right now. They assure me that they will continue with update for the 6.5 and they are aware of the GPS issue, but not my issue.

I am hoping I still have the last update in my download folder on the home computer, I will check when I get there.

I just attempted hooking up a droid via the USB and got nothing, but I discovered something. I went into "MEDIA" saw my iPhone, connected to it, and bang Music started playing through the bike. I disconnected the droid, reconnect the iPhone and it stopped. Unplugged the USB and it started again. So I can play music via bluetooth but not if the USB is connected, just weird. I'll try a different USB/lightning cable but it is seeing and all the phone functions are working.

Power off your phone. If that doesn't work try a different lighting cable.

When it’s plugged in, shouldn’t Bluetooth be off?

I sincerely apologize for being unable to offer advice, but thread after thread after thread seems to confirm that, for every Boom update, the system goes backwards and fails in a new way. It just makes me wonder why anyone would run the risk of screwing up a system that, despite a glitch or 2, at least works.

OP, I run my iPhone exactly like you do and I, too, use it to stream SiriusXM. Although, my phone's Bluetooth is on, I connect the phone and stream through the USB port. Doing it that way is not a problem for me. The only difference is I'm running 1.22.0.1.
