Default Rinehart DBX45 4.5 Inch Slip On Installed

I've had several brands of exhaust over the years. Some I liked and some I did not. We've ridden this 2017 CVO stock now for 25 months and 20 k + miles. The wife and I have been discussing pipes and she was actually wanting to upgrade more then me. We watched a few dozen YouTube videos and I don't have to tell you it is really hard to get a true accurate sound clip on a video.

So with that in mind we started looked at Daytona during our trip down for Biketoberfest. Some of the brands we thought we would like really did not do much for us in person with look and / or sound. The crazy thing is the very last place we looked and the very last pipe we heard was the one!

Rinehart! Never owned the brand before, always liked the look and sound of most and seem to be a quality part. Being made in the USA and a NC company was very nice also.

Well we fell in love with the big 4.5 inch DBX45 in chrome with the traditional black tip.

These pipes have a really deep rich tone. I used to be a boating guy and our last go fast boat had twin big blocks with straight dry exhaust exhaust. Set the sticks at 4 k RPM and that sound cruising down the lake or along the coast was to die for. I told the wife on our 500 mile journey back home that these remnd me of a big block engine cruising up I-95 at 3 k RPM around 80 mph.

Sound and especially exhaust is very subjective. One thing is some exhaust really hurt my ears combined with wind. I wear ear plugs 100% of the time and have for years. I ran without them for about 100 miles just to experience it with my half helmet and was very pleased that there were no side effects.

For us these are GREAT!

The guys at Rinehart made the experience very easy and enjoyable.

I have received several compliments on the sound and looks of the new pipes. One bussy wants then for his 09 Ultra I suggested he find a similiar bike with 96 and hear them. Based on my shopping experience YouTube does not do justice to sound clips. I think you need to hear them on your exact setup to know for sure. I base this on previous pipes and bikes that were okay or really not wnat I wanted. Every one is different, but these for me are GREAT! Deep rich tone. I'm calling her by V-Twin BIG BLOCK now!

Nice!! I absolutely love my Rinehart system. I am kind of freaking out because I have to install FuelMoto's 1.75" inserts when I do the 128. I hope it doesn't muffle that distinctive Rinehart rumble, too much.

With a nice big cam, nothing sounds like Rinehart, IMO.

I have the 3.5" pipes on my 08, they are a lot louder than their larger pipes, but I love how they open up with rpm and yet can be tame when just putting around the block. I called Reinhart recently and they will no longer sell baffles for their 3.5" pipes, only the remaining slip ons they have; everyone wants bigger and quieter it seems.

I put R/C mufflers on my 114 after going on the interweb and listening to sound checks. I have herd the Reinhardt's on other bikes Ask me they all sound like ****. M8 engine runs good lots of power but no sound likes my 103 better as far as sound.

Dang I knew I should have called for your opinion first! LOL (NOT)

As we all know sound is very subjective.

For me this new Rinehart is simply AWESOME. YouTube does not do it for me. We went to the rally to actually hear them first hand. Listed to Cobra, Vance & Hines and others.

I will add that we rolled up to Myrtle Beach HD last Saturday. Two people a lady salesperson and a guy name Tyler came out to both look at the paint, the sheep skin and ask about the exhaust. Tyler told me he has never hear Rineharts sound this good when we drove in. He went back instide and brought the parts manager out to hear them and ask the model so they could order some.

You may not like them if you hear them in person but to make blanket criticism without hearing them is ingnorant.

Ride safe
