In any case, he's hiding something and his dishonesty should be a red flag.... What else is wrong that he's not going to tell you about and may be actively hiding...???

I have found on multiple occasions, on multiple bikes, the issue is a loose connection at the antenna/coax interface located inside the tour pack. The AM/FM antenna is located on the rear LEFT side of the tour pack. Right side mount is for CB use.
