I wouldn't worry or lose any sleep over it, I see LOST COMM codes in different modules everyday in the vehicles that I work on, the only time to worry about it is when the code simply will not clear, that's normally a clear indication of either a bad module, or a fault in the COMM line.
Thank you Sir, hoping it's something simple as that!!

Yes it does, if the module, Radio in this case is starting to fail it can intermittently glitch or not work at all for a period of time and then come back online and work fine for days/weeks/months, those are the hardest ones to narrow down in early stages of failure, voltage plays a KEY role in a Can-bus system, too high can cause problems, Low voltage causes major problems, anything below 11.5 volts and to put it mildly, these modules go stupid, any sudden spike low/high can cause LOSS COMM codes, low/high spikes also can take the module offline for a millisecond, and that's enough to cause the COMM codes to appear. If a module doesn't boot up (come online) in a pre-determined time can cause the COMM codes, there is literally many things that cause the LOSS COMM codes. Any module that has failed will shut the COMM line down to any module that is after it inline.

I've seen that before. I think it tends to happen more when the radio is too busy to respond to the BCM within the allotted response time like NAV running/rerouting or upon initialization (radio boot up). My attitude was "don't worry about" & nothing ever failed because of the code.

Thanks Hammz, that's kinda what I'm hoping, just a little momentary disconnect. After all these years we know how temperamental these things can get, maybe it was having a bad day, LOL!
