ABS problem

It appears the problem was the master cylinder. I got the parts to rebuild it and the calipers from Dennis Kirk and started with the right front caliper. Well, the parts didn't fit. I went back online and verified that the website said they did. Turns out it doesn't fit if you have Brembo calipers, and according to my local HD dealer all the Rushmore bikes have Brembos. So I put it back together and moved to the master cylinder. Once again, it didn't fit and once again the DK website said it did. I gave up on them and ordered one from J&P. Since I already had the MS disassembled I cleaned it and put it back together so I could ride. It had some trash in it and the seals didn't look great, but I put about 120 miles on it over the next two days and the lever stayed firm. I got the new kit yesterday and went ahead and installed it, but I think that was my problem.

Too cool. All it takes is changing fluid and bleeding a few year old master with the lever or pedal to trash them. People are successful however some of the times.
Doesn't hurt on a new one.
