You aren't crazy. Cali Raised moto has posted some teaser pics on IG test fitting the LP6's. They look good. It looks a bit unfinished, and I think someone will need to make a filler panel, or filler accent light or something to take up the space where the DRL was.
I'm also curious to see how they handle signals - as I would prefer to see the signals stay where they were.

I think Harley could do much better than those oversized lollypops they stab into the sides of the fairings. Almost like an afterthought right before the bike goes to packaging for shipment.
The aftermarket guys are encouraging H-D to keep it going.

I believe as manufactured, they are designed as a unit, so they would count one cluster as one light. But (and I have them on my bike) I do not believe they are DOT approved, and so technically, yes. But only a dick cop would mess with someone for that.
