I had a 2020 RG that I sold in April 2023 due to a major life change. Was bike-less through the summer and began to really miss it. In September I bought a 2023 Heritage Classic. I really dug the Heritage and put 2,000 miles on it during fall/winter.
Then the 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide came out. I was immediately smitten. Seeing it in person didn't help and a test ride sealed the deal. Had I known about the 2024 changes I would have waited, or bought something used and cheap to get by last fall. It definitely cost more doing it this way, but you can't take it with you.
I brought her home yesterday. It was much colder than forecast, so I only rode the 30ish miles home from the dealership. It's been a long time since I've had a bike with chrome. I went intending to buy Whiskey Fire with black, but when I saw the black and chrome the angels sang.
Raining today, so I'll mess with settings and lower the shifter a tooth. Tomorrow will log some miles.
Black and chrome is always beautiful and when clean few schemes look better. For that reason I wish mine was gloss black instead of denim black.
As written many times prior Softail is an awesome platform but there is just nothing like the touring platform. You may stray for bit as I did but you will always find your way back.

Rode a bit over 100 miles yesterday. REALLY happy with the bike. My Mustang seat may just stay in storage. Very comfortable. Handles great. Seems way more powerful than the Stage 1 114 softail. There's a very noticeable difference between the modes and Sport mode is great.
I am thinking about a 24 Whiskey Fire n Chrome later this year BUT seeing your Black n Chrome has got me thinking, especially as I will be adding a chopped trunk and vivid Black gives me cheaper aftermarket options
