My arthritis is acting up and holding the clutch in while stopping and starting in heavy traffic is becoming a pain. (pun intended)
My 2022 has the cable actuated clutch and for the older cable bikes, a ball and ramp kit worked wonders. I cannot find a kit for the current model bikes. I really don't want to buy the special clutch levers that are supposed to help.
Im looking forward to report from someone using this plus adjustable clutch lever on newer bikes with cable clutch.
My 2016 has hydraulic clutch. Ive muller + Oberon adjustable clutch lever, I have small fingers so like the lever to be closer to the grip.
My lever is set at 5 and its just a tad bit difficult to shift, I can feel gear grind if I shift below 3k RPM. I have to be mindful of that and also make sure lever is pulled all the way in touching grips when I shift.
To be frank I would like my lever even closer than where its at but doubt Ill be able to shift.
I had a recluse clutch installed in my 2017… When you stop the motorcycle, you do not need to pull the clutch in… Disengages all by itself below a certain RPM… Once you throttle up the clutch engages and you do not need to use a clutch lever to get going…
I did the Softbrake https://softbrake.com/product/2017-a...raulic-clutch/ clutch and brake lever's as well and couldn't be happier....I've got severe arthritis in both thumb to wrist areas, and these helped a ton. I wasn't sure what to do when I went to the hydraulic system, but then someone mentioned Rick and Debbie at Softbrake and it's been a blessing since...
Didn't the easy ramp become stock around 2007? Is that why you can't find it for your year? As said maybe some other set ups.
Also lubing the cable does wonder. Every time I do it I swear I will do it more often. Which may be something to think about too. Lube pivot point too.
