So, I was taking a look at my title on my '23 SGS and noticed the make section said INDI. I assume that is for Indian? I was expecting something like HARL, etc. Seems like the dealer made a mistake. There is an Indian dealership next to the harley shop, but seems like a really odd mistake to make.
I'm in CA. Does your make say INDI? Anyway, not sure if it needs to be corrected or not given the VIN is correct. Dealing with the DMV doesn't sound like a fun time.
I bought a new Road King from H-D last year. When I got my title in the mail, it was for a CVO Ultra. I went back to the dealer to swap bikes but they insisted on correcting my title instead.
How long have you had the bike? I'd go back to the dealer and tell them to fix it.
Yep, and may to be expensive,
since once new title is issued, then going to get hit with plate taxes and fees on new title, and the fees from old title/plates may not transfer to new title.
So on that note, make sure that dealer is going to cover all the expenses for the title mistake on his part, including getting you new plate cost, and maybe even insurance costs when model goes from Indian to Harley isntead..

If it was registered by a dealer, go back and make them fix it.....
FWIW.....
I have four Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, and have their titles in hand. Their ages are; '01, '03, '09, & '16.
On all 4 bikes, under "Make" on both the registration slips and vehicle titles, they say "HD".
I had a simular title misprint on my shovelhead, the SN is 66FLH..... The title read 66FHL..... I didn't worry about it since there is no such thing as a FHL. Lots a years later, I went to the DMV, took a pic of the SN, and explained that it was just a typo that they did when I bought it used.
The lady brought it up on the computer, made the correction, and printed out a new title. No cost, no problem.

That is a totally different situation than bigdeek has. His bike is registered as totally different manufacturer of motorcycle. He needs to get that sorted out ASAP. Especially since he is in California. I hear that the DMV is hell to deal with there.
