Try this - go into your AA setting and make sure your default is Start Android Auto automatically.
Yes this setting is done. It auto plays on any other AA system. Just not the bike. I did a force close of AA. It worked right the first couple times then went back to not.

I don't get offended and it didn't bother me. Like I said, I expected the dick answer. And if he is one of the respected members he could have followed up with an actual answer. When I questioned Toyota about my issues using Android Auto they advised me to use a wired connection. That didn't solve the issue. Then they advised me to stop using Android Auto and subscribe to Toyota's "Connected Services".... z paid service.
There are too many different phone and too many different vehicles. There's going to be issues with some that don't have a solution.
