I know a lot of people will hate this, but Im not a fan of apes, just never been a fan. On my road glide I had duper relaxers and loved them, but switched to a street glide and cant find anything 2014+ that are not apes of some type. Someone has to know of something different?

Wild One 579, FBI Reduced Reach, KST Reduced Reach, Khromewerks Street Sweepers to name a few. Here's a pic of my WO579 WO579
Another fan of the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers. They bring the grips up 2” and back 2” without hitting the sides of the tank and have a slightly flatter wrist angle than stock while maintaining the look of the stock bars.
Control harness extensions make it a lot easier to connect them under the fairing but no other extensions are necessary. (Clutch cable, brake line, etc.) Wiring the control harnesses inside the bars is a little tricky because the holes at the ends of the bars are a little small requiring the connectors to be de-pinned. On my last bike I just left them on the outside like they came from the factory.
Rerouting the clutch cable around the triple tree will help keep the clutch cable out of a bind.
Kind of like gonemad says... depends a lot on your body build. I am 6' tall with 33" inseam - I have a really long torso and gorilla length arms. I had to change the seat on my '21 CVO Ultra Limited to a La Pera Maverick to move me down and back a little and I put Factory 47 Assault 14" bars on just to get my body situated right on the bike. I was never an 'apehanger' guy necessarily, I actually like the kind of Buckhorn style that is factory on my '82 Electraglide... but these ape style/meathook things look pretty good and are damned comfortable.

Don't kick the Apes to the curb to quickly. At least give the 10" Apes a look. Last month I went to KST Kutoms
I purchased the 10" 6 bend. I pulled them back about an inch for comfort and they clear the tank by a couple of inches. The big thing for me is how comfortable they are.
KST has a lot to choose from and they are made in the Bremen Ga.
Give them a shout. BTW I will not say that they were easy to install, but I'm an old school Avionics Tech, and it was doable for me.
What ever you decide to do, good luck.
