You're going the wrong direction when you make the pivot point closer to the shifter shaft. Isn't that why the aftermarket arm is longer in the first place?
I'm talking about the forward shifter shaft. Not the shift lever on the transmission.
I can get a new OEM M8 Front Inner Arm (H-D Part Number: 33600088) for $29.60 USD
I plan to modify it by cutting it down and redrilling it to match the dimensions of the Thrashin EZ Shift version.
(Go ahead, call me a frugal Dutchman! )
Can anyone advise on the exact center to center difference between the OEM and Thrashin versions?
I have read both 3/4" and 1" on this and other threads.
Or, I would accept the actual hole center to center dimension of the Thrashin unit.
