22 RG ST with factory wheels. Went to reinstall my carbon fiber fender which I had previously removed last year and noticed a bulge in my wheel. Almost like the metal has been rolled over a touch. Approximately 1.5" long, in between red marks on the pic but the area in question doesn't extend all the way to the red lines I edited in, that's just a general reference point
Really dumb question I guess but is there any chance this is normal? I did have a tire leak last year in 3 different areas on this wheel but after an Indy shop removed the tire and reinstalled it, it's been fine since. I don't know for sure the cause but a few days before I had nailed a storm drain in a parking lot and I'm guessing that's what led to the tire leak
And I've also since replaced the tires due to normal wear about 3 months back and no leak at all since.
Area in question does not have any sharp crease to it at all. Entire area is smooth, just kinda bulged. No vibration at any speed and no vibration when braking.

Of course it is NOT normal.
You have a bent wheel now.

That is very likely the cause of your bent wheel.
A bent wheel does not always cause a leak, but it for sure make it easier for a leak to develop.
I would think a good wheel shop should be able to fix it.
Until that wheel is fixed or replaced, I wouldn't trust it to not develop a leak sometime when you least expect it.
Do y'all think I need to worry about a crack developing?
I was kinda thinking along lines of hattitude and checking it regularly. I do carry a portable air pump if it leaks which I used last year to get it to the shop. That was maybe summer last year I nailed that drain so we'll see
At the very least, get a quote(s) to make it right again. You may be surprised how little it might cost to fix it....or not. I'd at least perform some "due diligence" and get some numbers.
