I just spent 2 hours trying to solve the Ride Planner, Base Camp, Map Source and MapQuest and I know as much now as I did 2 hours ago...

Navigating the site is not easy and there is to much to ask you for answers until i can navigate the site a little and then i will have questions. Are there any instructions for the planner?

There is an interactive help/command set on the Ride Planner. Here's a link:

This should help.

Just let me know - once you start to use it, you'll enjoy. It is also very compatible with the new 14s Nag system. I do my routes on the PC - then upload them to my nav.

It does work much like the Garmin site and I have the Roadteck on my bike..so I've had a little practice.

Default Route Planning and NAV System

I'm two weeks into the my new SGS and have been a strong Garmin Zumo User. Can you create custom routes on the 6.5 Nav?? That would be AWESOME, but I haven't seen anything about it in my documentation.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide

Thanks for the info. I have plenty of time to figure it out here in NH. I would like to have some rides set for the spring if it ever gets here.

Zlaneb - once you start to use the nav - and since you had the Garmin, you will find it quite easy.

Yes, you can create custom routes - just like you could on the Garmin. In my opinion, it is a little easer. With the Garmin, you created the route and then hooked the device up to the PC. with the Nav system, you create the route and load it to your flash drive. You then upload it to your bike's system.

I enjoy working with Ride Planner.... enter your start and end. Once you have the may up, just left click on the route and drag/change it to the roads you want to take. Then simply save it and upload it.

The Nav does have one other feature that I like... Garmin had fastest and shortest... Nav also has Scenic and twisty

dinsmor17 - NH... I understand .. we are in Michigan.

I too have just come from zumo 660 and finding ride planner a good tool, I have done all my routes to austria and back and stored them in downloads on PC, have loaded about 4 of them to the bike with no probs, CYCLE 7447, (or anyone for that matter) could you answer me 2 questions?

1, Everytime you drag the dot to change the route does that count as a waypoint? as I believe it will only take 9 waypoints.

2, Is there a limit of routes you can store on the infotainment nav?
