Seems there's a lot more of the Limited's than the Ultras.I purchased the Ultra because it was the color I wanted, wasn't all about the liquid cooling, but would have liked the 6.5 infotainment, not really in need of the GPS,as I have one,but $1800 upgrade wasn't in my budget and can upgrade the tunes for alot less.FLHTK a fine machine however I'm happy with my FLHTCU.Couldn't justify the $5000 price difference. How about it how many ULTRA owners?DON'T NO HOW THE TOPIC CAME UP FLTHK AND FLTHCU,must be the Oops.lol

Congrats in the new ride. I bought the limited instead of the ultra because of the color. I love the Daytona blue pearl and could only get it on the limited. I almost bought a black ultra with the 6.5 upgrade and because I was unsure of the new twin cooled motor. but my 01 ultra was black and wanted a change. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Happy riding
Congratulations. You will love it! I bought the Ultra myself. Didn't want the water cooling, didn't need the big radio, really preferred the matte finish inner fairing over the gloss. I usually like to remove my lowers during our hot summers, and obviously can't remove them on a Limited. And the storage in the lowers is really nice now with the real doors. I've always liked the paint scheme on the Ultra much better than the Limited. IMO, the Ultra is a much prettier bike. More two toning - top of the tour pak and saddlebags and a better looking tank. And I saved $2500 or so, although I did spend $800 to add the CB. A little over 3000 miles on mine now and its a great bike!

I went the opposite way with the Limited. I wanted the liquid cooling, the nav, the CB, etc. I had been looking at CVO's for a couple of years. The Limited in 2014 hit the right buttons for me. It had enough stuff stock for a lot less than a CVO. The two tone gray/black color put me over the edge.
I'm ordering a Rushmore next month, and struggled with the decision of Limited vs. Classic. I've decided on the Classic. I guess I'm still not convinced the liquid cooling has reached a sufficient level of development. For starters, the poll on this site shows about 1/3 of Limited owners have had coolant leaking issues. Next year, if an improved cooling system is brought in, I would be thinking I had damaged goods if I owned a Limited. I'd be ordering parts at great expense trying to make the 2014's cooling system like a 2015. The Classic has probably reached a mature state of development with regards to the engineering of it's cooling and will certainly have less things that could go wrong. So I'm going with the Classic, but with the 6.5 radio, Sirius XM, and the 75 watt amp & speaker upgrade. I've looked all over the internet for road tests comparing the Limited to the Classic in terms of seat of the pants power. There is little to go on. One tester said there was a noticeable difference, another said not much. One thing is certain: the 103 is a great motor whether it is in a Classic or a Limited.

Went with the Ultra with the 6.5 Radio ($795 Dollar upgrade) Limited around here is $31,000 OTD.
For my needs, the Classic is it. No need for the CB or heated accessories in Hawaii. XM/Serius not available here, plus a free 6.5 screen upgrade sealed the deal. And for the deal I got, in Hawaii...... easy choice.
To each there own; I think the water cooled heads are the biggest Rushmore upgrade. I did have the leak issue but that stopped once the upgraded filler neck was installed. Its a real simple system that will be easy to service years from now. The motor runs cooler, never pings and never looses power when its hot outside. IMHO, twin cooling gives you the best of both worlds. Regardless of your choice, you will love your Rushmore.

I agree living in florida the heat from my 09 ultra cooked my legs I am loving the water cooling and they have fixed leak issues. I had really wanting a CVO until they came out with 14 limited had all I needed.
thought the heated grips in florida over kill but have to admit being able to wear fingerless gloves in 45 degree weather a plus.
